Our next campaign activation is our Letters from Children project. For this work, we are collaborating with children’s forums across the country to encourage them to support a letter to the Prime Minister, telling him what the Government needs to do to help improve children’s health.

Letters from children to No. 10 activation On the 24th of April, children from the Put Children First campaign will travel to No.10 Downing Street to hand in the letters to the Prime Minister, so the Government can hear first-hand from children as to what our young people need to live happier and healthier lives.

How can you get involved? The Put Children First campaign is keen to have as many letters from children as possible. If your organisation is connected to a children’s forum, then we would encourage you to ask if any members of the forum may be interested in writing a letter. The contents of the letters need to include what key things they want to see in policy making to help children across the UK live happier and healthier lives. All of the letters we receive will be put in front of politicians during our May 12th Parliamentary event. We are asking that all letters fit on an A4 sheet. If this is a project you would like to be involved in, we ask that you send a clear photo of the child’s letter by 30th April 2025 to alderhey@bbpartners.co.uk

Event On 12th May, ahead of the publication of the Child Poverty Strategy, the Put Children First campaign will host a parliamentary event. The event will be a key opportunity for our children from the campaign to speak directly to Ministers and MPs, and read their letters to attendees which explain the changes young people want to see in policy making. The event will also involve a second screening of the ‘Ignite the Sparks’ campaign film to leave parliamentarians with a strong understanding of the aims and calls to action of the campaign.
